ESTIN Incubator Concludes High-Impact AI Training Workshop for Biotechnology and Food Chemistry Researchers

Béjaïa, April 14, 2026 — The ESTIN Incubator successfully concluded the third and final day of its specialized training workshop titled “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Innovation in Biology and Food Chemistry”. This program was designed for researchers from the BCA Division of the CRTAA Research Center (Bejaia), with the aim of bridging advanced AI technologies and applied scientific research.

The closing day featured insightful sessions led by expert contributors in the field. Dr. Imene Azazga delivered a forward-looking presentation on “Transforming Biology and Food Chemistry with AI-Driven Innovation”. Her session emphasized practical strategies for identifying innovation opportunities, converting academic research into viable startup projects, and drawing inspiration from successful AI-driven ventures in biotechnology and agri-food industries.

In a complementary technical session, Chelghoum Sofiane introduced participants to key concepts in neural networks and computer vision. His presentation highlighted cutting-edge applications in smart food imaging, including defect detection and automated product classification.
